Education within Multiphase Flows and Heat Transfer
Teaching and supervision
The research group in Multiphase Flows and Heat Transfer helps educate students by taking part of the following courses:
- Thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid dynamics
- Heat transfer
- Open-source Computational Fluid Dynamics - Fundamentals (PhD course)
- Open-source Computational Fluid Dynamics - Advanced (PhD course)
- Numerical Methods
We also participate in supervision. Examples of projects supervised by members of the research group are:
- Allan Bjerg and Kristian Christoffersen: Numerical Investigation of Flow Structures and Their Impact on Heat Transfer Performance in a Staggered Arrangement of Rectangular Winglet Pair Vortex Generators in a Fully Developed Channel Flow by Large Eddy Simulations (LES) (Winner of DANSIS Best Fluid Mechanics Thesis Award)
- Anders Ehlers, Andreas Agesen og Line Blæsbjerg: Particle accumulation in square duct cavity with laminar flow: A four-way coupled CFD-DEM investigation of effects of particle-to-fluid density ratio and fluid Reynolds number using model validated against experimental
