As February came to an end, the long-time head of the department and professor, Lasse Rosendahl, handed over the reins to Professor Birgitte Bak-Jensen, who is acting as the head of the department until a new one is found.

As February came to an end, the long-time head of the department and professor, Lasse Rosendahl, handed over the reins to Professor Birgitte Bak-Jensen, who is acting as the head of the department until a new one is found.

Lasse Rosendahl can date his time at Aalborg University back many years – but not as far back as Birgitte Bak-Jensen, who was already researching and teaching at the university when Lasse Rosendahl began his studies.

"I am completely confident that Birgitte Bak-Jensen, with her extensive experience in research, teaching, external collaboration, and leadership at the department, will lead the department well until a new head is appointed," says Dean Jesper Wengel.

The position of head of the Department of Energy is expected to be advertised in March with the aim of hiring by August 1st.
